Safari Park Kanchanaburi (Open zoo)
Safari Park Kanchanaburi, about 40 km from Kanchanaburi town in Bo Phloi District, is the province’s only open zoo. Visitors explore it via mini-bus or their own vehicle through eight distinct animal zones, featuring species such as deer, tigers, lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, llamas, flamingos, and more.
Daily shows include an elephant performance, crocodile-handling, and a vibrant macaw bird show. You can also purchase packages to take photos with giraffes, tigers, or feed tiger cubs, which are popular activities here.
Drive-Through Safari with Up-Close Animal Encounters
The park is segmented into 8 animal zones:
- Fancy-colored deer
- Asiatic black bears
- Blackbuck and sand gazelles
- Bengal tigers
- African lions
- Leopards
- Spotted deer, white fallow deer, emus
- Large herbivores giraffes, zebras, llamas, ostriches, flamingos
You can enter by mini-bus (free) or your own vehicle. Herbivores like giraffes and zebras come close for feeding bring carrots or purchase food on-site. Carnivore zones require closed windows for safety
