Customers are encouraged to take photographs and video recordings of the vehicle before and after the rental period.

Any existing damage will be documented before vehicle handover.

5. Fuel Policy

Vehicles are supplied with a specified fuel level and should be returned with the same fuel level.

Customers are responsible for using the correct fuel type specified for the vehicle.

Any refueling costs resulting from incorrect fuel usage will be the customer’s responsibility.

6. Insurance Coverage

All vehicles are covered by First-Class Motor Insurance.

In the event of an accident where the renter is responsible, the renter’s maximum insurance excess is 10,000 THB per accident, subject to the terms and conditions of the insurance policy.

If the actual repair cost is less than 10,000 THB, only the actual repair cost will be charged.

If the repair cost exceeds 10,000 THB, the renter’s liability will normally be limited to 10,000 THB, provided all insurance conditions have been met.

No Security Deposit is required for vehicle rental.

7. Accident Procedure

If an accident occurs, customers must contact Kanchanaburi Car Rental immediately.

Kanchanaburi Car Rental will coordinate with the insurance company and local authorities where necessary.

Customers should not admit liability, negotiate settlements, or arrange repairs without prior approval from Kanchanaburi Car Rental.

8. Mechanical Breakdown

If the vehicle experiences a mechanical failure that is not caused by customer misuse or negligence, Kanchanaburi Car Rental will arrange assistance and, where reasonably possible, provide a replacement vehicle of a similar category.

9. Tire Damage

Customers are responsible for tire damage resulting from:

  • Collisions
  • Impact damage
  • Potholes
  • Curb strikes
  • Improper driving

Customers will not be charged for tire failures caused solely by normal wear, manufacturing defects, or circumstances beyond their control.

10. Fair Wear and Tear

Normal wear and tear resulting from ordinary vehicle use will not be considered damage.

Charges apply only for damage beyond normal wear and tear, including accidents, misuse, negligence, or avoidable damage.

11. Pickup and Drop-off Areas

The rented vehicle must not be used:

  • By unauthorized drivers
  • Outside Thailand
  • For racing or motorsport activities

  • To tow another vehicle
  • On roads unsuitable for normal passenger vehicles
  • Through flooded roads or areas where water may damage the vehicle

12. Warning Lights & Mechanical Issues

If any warning light appears, unusual noise develops, or a mechanical problem is suspected, customers should stop driving as soon as it is safe to do so and contact Kanchanaburi Car Rental immediately.

Continuing to drive after a serious warning may result in additional liability if further damage occurs.

13. Vehicle Care

Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited inside the vehicle.

Pets are permitted only with prior approval from Kanchanaburi Car Rental.

Customers are responsible for maintaining the vehicle in a clean condition throughout the rental period.

Additional cleaning or repair charges may apply where necessary.

Customers are responsible for all:

  • Traffic fines
  • Parking fines
  • Speed camera penalties
  • Toll violations
  • Other legal penalties incurred during the rental period

Customers are encouraged to report any accident, damage, warning lights, unusual vehicle behavior, or mechanical concerns immediately.

Prompt reporting allows Kanchanaburi Car Rental to provide assistance quickly and helps prevent further vehicle damage.

18. Rental Commencement and Early Termination

The rental period commences once the vehicle has been handed over to the customer and the Vehicle Inspection Form or Rental Agreement has been completed.

By collecting the vehicle, the customer confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted these Self-Drive Rental Terms & Conditions, including the insurance coverage and insurance excess applicable to the rental.

If the customer chooses to cancel or terminate the rental after the rental has commenced for reasons unrelated to the vehicle or any fault of Kanchanaburi Car Rental, no refund will be provided for any unused rental period.

This policy reflects the costs and commitments already incurred by Kanchanaburi Car Rental, including vehicle preparation, delivery and collection, reservation of the vehicle, administrative processing, and the loss of booking opportunities resulting from reserving the vehicle for the customer.
