Wat Baan Tham
Wat Baan Tham is located at Khao Noi Sub District, Tha Muang District, Kanchanaburi. The stairs which will bring you to the cave give you a feel like you are walking through a mouth of a dragon. There is one stalactite inside the cave which somehow looks like a women body. It was named after Bua Kli who is a wife of Khun Paen in a legend Thai folklore, Khun Chang Khun Phaen.Wat Baan Tham is an ancient temple which carried down for many generations. The rear area of the temple lies next to the mountains while the front lies next to Mae Klong river. There is one beautiful strand near the entrance of the temple. The mountain where Wat Baan Tham stands on is 200 meters high. The mountain is wide and long to the north western side and ends at Khao Laem and Khao Tok Tham Mangkon Thong Pak. The cave is the place where Phra Buddha Chinnarat and the stalactite of Bua Kli placed.It has been said in the history that this temple was first built in the reign of Sukhothai. The cave was discovered by a rich man. Later, he decided to invite Luang Po Thong, the first abbot, to stay over here as the cave looks nice with the winds blowing all day long. Luang Po Thong was a very well-known monk and he pet one of a Magpie bird and taught it about how to speak.

Wat Tham Suea - Tiger Cave Temple
Located not far from Tham Khao Noi Temple in Ta Mueang district, Wat Tham Suea is famous for is spacious space, the sacred gilded Buddha Images, which is Kanchanaburi's largest, and interesting architectural style influenced by Chinese arts.

Kanchanaburi War Cemetery (DonRak)
Kanchanaburi War Cemetery (Don Rak Cemetery or United Nations Cemetery). It is located on Saeng Chuto Road, Mueang District, Kanchanaburi Province. This cemetery was the tomb of Confederate prisoners of war who died during the construction of the Death Railway. It is a large cemetery on an area of ​​27,200 sqaure meter, contains 6,982 graves of British, Australian and Dutch prisoners of war, of whom 6,858 have been identified. The cemetery grounds are beautiful, lush with well-planted grass and it is reminiscent of the events of the battle and its consequences.

Death Railway Museum and Research Centre
The Thailand-Burma Railway Centre in an interactive museum, research and information centre dedicated to presenting the story of the Thailand-Burma Railway built during the World War II.
Located near the Kanchanaburi War Cemetery (Don Rak), this museum showcases an exhibition about the history of the Thailand-Burma railway, a 145-kilometer train track between Bang Pong in Thailand and Thanbuyuzayat in Myanmar that was built by prisoners of wars during the invasion of the Imperial Japanese Army, WWII. The educational exhibition displays information and photographs about planning and construction processes of the railway as well as the geography, living condition in POW camps, medical aspects, summary of deaths, operation, bombing and end of the railway, as well as aftermath of the war.

World War II & JEATH War Museum
The name JEATH is derived from countries engaged in the WWII death railway construction from 1942 to 1945: Japan, England, America, Australia, Thailand and Holland. And as the name suggests, this small museum displays photographs and illustrations narrating the living condition of prisoners of war (POWs) during that cruel time, some of which were donated by former POWs who survived. The museum building itself was also turned from the detention hut, used during that period.

Bridge Over the River Kwai
Thanks to several films and books, the Bridge on the River Khwae has become notoriously famous and attracted both Thais and foreigners to the site. If an ordinary black iron bridge can tell a story, you can be sure it's a dramatic one.
This steel bridge is one of important historical landmarks and memorials in Thailand. It is almost a symbol of the province and is a recommended place in Kanchanaburi travel guide. The history of the bridge is well known, as it was part of the railway lines in World War II and had seen its share of conflict and bloodshed. After World War II, the damaged bridge was renovated by the Thai government in 1946. The Bridge of the River Kwai Memorial Week is held during late November to early December every year, where there is an exhibition about World War II and the history and archaeology of the bridge. Folk performances, local goods markets, and other entertainment are also scheduled at the event. Situated not far from the bridge is Don Rak or Kanchanaburi War Cemetery, another important World War II-related place as it is where remains of the prisoners of war who had died while building the railway were buried.
